The litigation regarding the constitutionality of the Corporate Transparency Act (“CTA”) is ongoing and fluid. As of December 27, 2024, the injunction previously put in place by a Texas federal court has been reinstated, making beneficial ownership information reports voluntary until the injunction is lifted or there is a further order from the Court.

Due to the fluctuating nature of this litigation, companies may want to voluntarily report their beneficial ownership information to avoid a time crunch if the injunction is once again lifted.
